Winter 2023 Session Action Kicks Off

The BAS Winter 2023 session kicked off this weekend to much excitement, with competitive matches and new teams joining the fray. The Winter session officially began with women’s action on Friday evening. Holders, Antilleans SC, were held to a thrilling 3-3 draw by a revitalized Amigas FC side, setting the tone for an energetic start. Meanwhile, Ultimate Warriors faced a tough challenge against Fall Finalists BFC, who put on a strong performance.

The momentum continued on Sunday as the session start showcased some of Brampton’s top adult soccer talent. In the Men’s Open Age category, last season’s champs, AC Canucks, squeaked by their rivals Gabroo FC in an intense 5-4 win. Masters finalists, Lynx FC, navigated their inaugural Division A match but suffered a 7-3 defeat to perennial contenders C4N, demonstrating just how fierce the competition will be throughout the Winter 2023 session.

A highlight of this session is the introduction of five new teams into Brampton’s adult soccer leagues. United Warriors, Suave City FC, Sikh Sports Club, and United West FC all made their debut on Sunday, while Retired Ballers FC enjoyed a well-earned Week 1 bye. We salute all the new entrants and wish each of them the very best throughout the winter 2023 session. Their arrival adds anticipation and depth to the league, promising even more competitive fixtures in the coming weeks.

Several established teams also made a statement in Week 1 of the BAS Winter 2023 Session. Absolute FC, K & L Armada, Socceroos, and Dashmesh FC demonstrated their pedigree with convincing victories, reinforcing their reputation as forces to be reckoned with.
