Introducing the Indy Leagues – Individual Soccer Registration with BASPosted on August 2, 2025August 2, 2025 by Brampton Adult Soccer0 For over 25 years Brampton Adult Soccer has been a league that operates by accepting Team Registrations but that all changes today! As of August 1st, 2025 BAS is now accepting Individual Soccer Registrations for 4 new programs that we’re calling our “Indy Leagues”. Women’s Open Age (18+), Men’s Open Age (18+), Men’s Masters (35+) and Men’s Grand Masters (50+) are the 4 initial individual soccer registration programs that make up our newly formed Indy Leagues. How does the Indy League individual soccer registration work? Our Indy League individual soccer registration is a simplified and streamlined process that allows individuals to join BAS and get playing without the extra work of having to build an entire team with their friends and colleagues. For some, the traditional BAS Team Registration will still be the preferred method but for those of you that just want to answer 3 questions and start playing, the Indy Leagues may be the perfect method to register for soccer in Brampton. What positions are you willing to play? What is your level of experience as a soccer player? What size jersey do you wear? Answer those three questions, pay your registration fee and that’s it, you’re a soccer player and we’ll place you on a balanced team in a recreational division with other individual soccer registration based teams. Can I play in both the standard BAS Leagues and the Indy Leagues at the same time? Yes, you absolutely can play in both the traditional BAS leagues that require full team registrations and the individual registration based Indy Leagues. BAS will do our absolute best to prevent any schedule conflicts or overlaps by keeping the scheduling between the two programs separate, however, it is ultimately your responsibility to decide which game you’ll attend on the off-chance that there is a schedule conflict. The Indy Leagues do not conflict with with the standard BAS Leagues and Divisions because it is expected that each team in the Indy League will be balanced and not have any undue advantage via recruitment and the collecting of higher calibre players. What is the Indy League format? The Brampton Adult Soccer Indy Leagues will have similar formats to our standard leagues. Women, the Men’s Master and Grand Masters will play 7v7 (6 + goalkeeper) and the Men’s Open Age will play 6v6 (5 + goalkeeper). Our Women’s Indy League will operate Friday evenings and all of our Men’s Indy League programs will be on Sundays from late afternoon into the evening thus keeping with our traditional nights of play. (Should the City of Brampton make additional timeslots available, we’ll explore other options for the 2026 Winter Session.) Every Indy League season will consist of 10 league games and each team will play at least one playoff game. The winners of each Indy League program will receive medals and be presented with a new Indy League trophy so they can pose for photos. Players in our Indy Leagues will still be registered with Ontario Soccer via the Peel-Halton Soccer Association. BAS Indy Leagues are the perfect individual soccer registration for newcomers If you’re new to soccer in general, or just new to soccer in Brampton, the individual soccer registration methodology of the BAS Indy Leagues is a great way to introduce yourself to the vast, vibrant and long-running Brampton soccer community. As a city, Brampton has a long and storied history of soccer successes and there’s no reason new residents should be excluded from joining in on the rich tapestry of sport in our city. How do I register for individual soccer with BAS? Registering is easy, just make your way over to our shop and select the program that best suits you based on age and gender. Once your order is complete you’ll be placed on a rostering list and a few weeks before the season starts, you will be placed on a roster and contacted by BAS.
