Brampton Goals: Buchanan & Hundal Lighting Things Up

Sunday, August 24th, 2025 proved to be a historic day for Brampton goals as both Tajon Buchanan and Shaan Hundal lit up scoreboards in La Liga and the Canadian Premier League (respectively). 7 goals in total for the two Brampton born attackers has left us all with a nice compilation of Brampton goals to review. (All the goals below.)

Villareal 5 : 0 Girona – La Liga – Brampton Goals from Tajon Buchanan

Buchanan netted a hat trick of goals for Villareal as they trounced Girona 5 : 0. Buchanan’s goals were the 2nd, 4th and 5th for Villareal. The first of his three, Buchanan dribbles in from the right and absolutely smashes the ball into the roof of the net. On his second a simple tap in that took two attempts. (They don’t ask how, they ask how many.) His third was a thunderous strike from the edge of the area that was redirected into the top right corner by the keeper’s outstretched arm. See all of the Tajon’s goals below.

York United 5 : 1 Pacific FC – CPL – Brampton Goals from Shaan Hundal

Later that afternoon, York United hosted Pacific FC in Canadian Premier League action and Brampton’s Shaan Hundal scored 4 as York demolished Pacific 5:1.

Only once before in CPL history has a player scored four in a game (earlier this year in fact, when Sam Salter did it). Hundal had a kind of inevitability about him in this match, and not just because of Pacific’s increasing defensive frailty as the game continued. Whenever the ball came to him, he had intent to turn toward goal and score, and a strong plan for how to do so.
He’s a striker who thrives on confidence, and he also explained postmatch that he’s enjoying the attacking structure and tactical plan that Mauro Eustáquio and his staff are providing. Hundal guessed that he doesn’t think he’s ever scored a hat-trick in a senior match, let alone four, which makes this surely his best-ever game.

Hundal’s 5th was assisted by Brampton’s Shola Jimoh who we’ve featured previously when the young man received his first Canadian National Team call-up.

It’s important that when we have these moments of football brilliance from athletes who grew up playing in the city of Brampton that take the time to celebrate and soak them in. Brampton goals executed using skills crafted and perfected on the same pitches you play on every week in BAS.
