BAS welcomed 10 new teams into the fold last week as Winter Indoor action commenced at the Save Max Sports Centre in what promises to be a season of Brampton soccer to remember.

In a thrilling return to Masters, Dashmesh FC, reigning champions of the Fall Div A, jubilantly reclaimed their spot in the 35+ Division by overpowering newcomers, Armada Legends, with a commanding 9-4 victory. Punjabi FC, after an unexpected absence in the Fall Playoffs, staged an impressive resurgence, securing a triumphant 3-1 win against the reigning champs, GNFC. Following a brief hiatus, Lynx FC made a impressive return, narrowly edging out Lions United in a nail-biting match with a final score of 3-2. Own Goal FC turned up the intensity, delivering a spectacular performance as they outplayed Fall Finalists, Absolute FC, with a convincing 5-2 triumph. Walkers FC set the stage on fire, giving a warm welcome to the newcomers, Wolves FC, with an explosive 6-1 victory. Brace yourself for an adrenaline rush as Socceroos, led by Matt Azevedo’s stellar four-goal showcase, made a triumphant return to Div B, overpowering FC Bolas with a 5-3 surge. Meanwhile, BAS veterans Jinky’s Nighthawks left a lasting impression by handing Milan a resounding 5-1 rout. For the first time in a long time, the Women’s Winter session kicked off with a full complement of Brampton soccer teams, bringing an electrifying energy to the competition. Vagabonds FC wasted no time picking up where they left off last Fall, extending their unbeaten streak to an impressive 15 matches by triumphing over Spitfires with a commanding 3-0 victory. The Ultimate Warriors faced the daunting duo of Kendra Cooper and Nicole McMillan, each securing a hat trick, leaving their opponents with “no place to run” in a resounding 9-0 win. Newcomers, Kicks ‘n Giggles FC, faced an uphill battle against Fall Finalists, BFC, but showcased their mettle by netting 4 goals in their inaugural match, setting a promising foundation for their journey ahead. Winter has never looked so promising in the Women’s division.
