Dashmesh FC Pulls Off the DoublePosted on August 15, 2023September 8, 2023 by Brampton Adult Soccer0 Brampton Adult Soccer congratulates Masters stalwarts, Dashmesh FC who travelled to Sudbury this weekend and won both titles of the prestigious Sudbury Star Cup. Kavan Bryan wins MVP for Dashmesh FC at the Sudbury Star Cup. Both the Masters and Open Age teams went undefeated over the weekend with the Open Age team beating Sudbury Stallions in a dramatic penalty shootout in the final. The Masters team hammered defending champs, SC Italia 5-0 in the title match to round out the weekend with two titles. Dashmesh’s Karamir Singh also won the tournament’s Golden Boot prize for his prolific finishing in front of the net in the Masters division and Amrit Masutawith won the Golden Boot in the Open Age. Additionally, Gill Amit (Open Age) and Kavan Bryan (Masters) were both awarded MVP honours. Technically these extra accolades bring Dashmesh’s prize haul to 6 trophies. (2 team and 4 individual.) What’s next for Dashmesh FC? Dashmesh FC will now focus on the remainder of the BAS schedule, where they currently sit atop the table, and on the upcoming BAS Cup. Brampton Adult Soccer would like to congratulate Dashmesh FC on their recent triumphs and extend a heartfelt “Thank You” for representing Brampton’s soccer community so successfully. Dashmesh joins GTA United in their efforts of representing Brampton soccer as another BAS based team. GTA United currently sit in third spot in the OSL’s MJ West Division with a 5-1-5 record with 11 games played. BAS Teams Outside of Brampton BAS has always supported and celebrated our member teams in their endeavours outside of Brampton. We feel their growth and success are a persistent reminder to the greater Canadian soccer community that Brampton is a hotbed of soccer with an unrivaled commitment to the sport. We look forward to seeing and celebrating the efforts of other Brampton soccer teams as they continue to grow, as Dashmesh FC has done, in the coming months and years. In the past BAS has had other teams participating in OSL and OWSL and we hope to do so again in the near future. Stay tuned.
