BAS Congratulates GTA United

If you’ve played adult soccer in Brampton for any length of time over the last 15 years, you might know the name GTA United. The team was formed by Manny Johal in 2006 and has been a BAS mainstay ever since.

Always looking to reach the next rung on the ladder, Manny made the decision to enter a competitive team in the Ontario Soccer Leagues’ Multi-Jurisdictional West Division for the 2023 Season.

That in and of itself is an accomplishment, but GTA United managed to up their credentials with a win in the their first-ever league match over USC Karpaty at Centennial Park Stadium in Etobicoke last night.

Manny and his team will play their first home game hosting York Jets on Friday, June 9th, 2023 and we wish them all the best in their first home match and entire inaugural campaign.

As our mandate is to grow adult soccer in Brampton and beyond, both recreationally, competitively and to contribute with our experience in adult and youth soccer, we are ready, willing, and able to assist any BAS team looking to step up to that “next level” and if you – like GTA United – are interested in testing your team against competitive competition, please contact info [a] bramptonsoccer.com or rep [a] bramptonsoccer.com. As a PHSA/Ontario Soccer sanctioned organization, BAS has the ability and resources to aid your team in representing Brampton’s soccer community in higher level competitions.
