When Brampton Soccer Attacks: 4-1 vs. HondurasPosted on April 3, 2023May 21, 2023 by Brampton Adult Soccer1 On March 29th, 2023 at BMO Field, in front of a vibrant crowd of Voyageurs the Canadian Men’s National Team throttled Honduras, a team they drew against in their first CONCACAF WC 2022 qualifier. Of significant note was the goal scoring contributions from two son’s of Brampton soccer as Cyle Larin netted twice and Jonathan Osorio sealed the victory with Canada’s 4th goal. Brampton soccer’s continued contribution and importance to Canada’s national team program can not be overstated. Against Honduras Canada also had Brampton soccer’s Atiba Hutchinson, now with over 100 caps for Les Rouges, come on to replace Ismael Kone (who looks to be his long term successor). With Larin partnering Jonathan David as the duo led the attack for Canada the squad continues to present itself as CONCACAF’s new big boys and will look to win their first trophy since the 2000 Gold Cup. Canada will begin their attempted ascension to be crowned 2023 CONCACAF Nations League Champions on June 15th, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada as they take on Panama for a spot in the June 18th, 2023 final against the winner of Mexico/USA.
