Football and Reggae in BASPosted on October 10, 2022October 10, 2022 by Brampton Adult Soccer0 As one of the top 10 cities in Canada, it should surprise no one that Brampton has more than our fair share of local celebrity flair. A growing list of talented Brampton soccer stars who have plied their trade here in BAS include: Jonathan Osorio, Shannon Lynn, and Atiba Hutchinson. What’s not so common among our teams, however, are celebrities who may not be known for their soccer prowess, but rather for other equally impressive crafts and trades. We are pleased to welcome Brampton-based, Jamaican-Canadian, Juno Award winning reggae musician, Exco Levi and his team to the fold for the 2022 Fall Indoor Session. Brampton Walk of Fame Honouree Exco Levi Levi is a 5-time Juno Award winner and 9 time nominee for such songs as “Siren” and “Wah Gwaan“. Levi believes that, “Football and reggae go together, football for the physical and reggae for the mental.” After playing soccer in Brampton for several teams over the years, Levi hand-picked players to create his own 35+ Masters team, Harm0ns FC after the community in Manchester, Jamaica where he was born and raised. Harm0ns FC began their Fall campaign on Sunday with a 2-1 win over XFC. You can follow the squad here.
