Under the evening lights and amidst a light drizzle, conditions were less than ideal for our final night match of the 2024 season. Despite Ebony SC maintaining a 60:40 possession advantage, it was VSFC who created the most promising opportunity in the opening 15 minutes. Nicholas Chiarot made a dynamic run down the left wing, delivering a powerful shot that tested Ebony’s goalkeeper, Fabian Grossett. However, Grossett was equal to the challenge, making a composed save to deny the early chance. Who knew at this early stage that it was to be VSFC’s best chance of the evening?

As the half progressed in the Ebony SC vs. VSFC match, Ebony’s dominance became increasingly evident. They consistently won the majority of 50:50 challenges and orchestrated fluid passing sequences, punctuated by precise through balls that would ultimately unravel VSFC’s defense.
