Ontario Announces New Public Health Measures – Jan 3/2022

The government of Ontario has recently announced a new set of Public Health Measures to address the ongoing global pandemic. As the situation continues to evolve, these measures are crucial to ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.

As with Ontario Soccer, we at BAS are committed to staying informed and up-to-date with these changes.

Ontario Soccer has announced: “We are working closely with the Government of Ontario, specifically through the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries. This collaboration allows us to effectively communicate all relevant government directives and updates to our community.”

The new Public Health Measures include a series of restrictions and guidelines designed to limit the spread of the virus. These measures affect various sectors, including sports and recreation. It is essential for all of us in the soccer community to understand and adhere to these measures to ensure the safety of our players, coaches, staff, and fans.

The updated Public Health Measures include:

  1. Limitations on gathering sizes: Indoor and outdoor gatherings are subject to specific size limits to reduce the risk of transmission.
  2. Physical distancing: Maintaining a safe distance from others remains a critical part of preventing the spread of the virus.
  3. Masking requirements: Masks are mandatory in certain indoor settings and may be required in outdoor settings under specific circumstances.
  4. Hygiene practices: Regular hand washing and sanitizing, as well as thorough cleaning of facilities, are essential.

These measures are subject to change as the situation evolves, and it is our responsibility to stay informed and adapt accordingly. We understand that these changes may present challenges, but we are committed to working together as a community to navigate through these times.
